How to register:
- Student applies at Vocational centre
- Vocational centre emails a referral to the John F. Kennedy Testing Centre
- The John F. Kennedy Testing Centre will contact the student to make an appointment
- Must be 18 years old

General Education Development
- 240 questions: multiple choice / full answer
- Spans a two day period
- Made up of 5 sections (Must pass all section)
- Language arts – writing
- Language arts – reading
- Math
- Science
- Social
How to register:
- Contact the John F. Kennedy Testing Centre for a preliminary interview and registration info
- Exam is given 3 times per year (November, March, June)
- Must be 18 years old
Candidates can either call or present themselves at any VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTRE (VTC) to request information for equivalencies.
- Candidates must then be referred to the AEVS Testing Centre before registering for a Vocational Training program: Contact #: (514) 483-7200 ext.: 6388.
- Candidates must then register for the equivalencies at the AEVS Testing Centre with the required documents.
- The registration fee for equivalencies is $50.00 (non-refundable).
- If the student registers for a program at a VTC the fee mentioned above will be credited towards their VTC semester.
The following documents are required:
- ORIGINAL – transcript(s) only from the province of origin. This transcript is delivered by the Ministry of Education in their province or the school.
- ORIGINAL – diplomas from the province or country of origin that meet the requirements of the equivalency chart.
- ORIGINAL – document issued by the MIDI-Comparative Evaluation.
